Few have a consigliere.
An AI that executes on command is useful, and it is the easiest part of AI to build and sell. The rarer, more valuable thing is one that thinks with you, not for you.
Most AI use is execution delegation. Write this, summarize that, draft the other. Genuinely useful, and beside the point when the decision is yours.
The risk is subtler than it looks. The faster the tool produces, the less time exists for the judgment that should come first. The draft appears before the question has fully formed. You start making decisions about what to send instead of decisions about what to think.
What is harder to build, and worth considerably more, is a thinking partner. It needs four things at once: your complete context, no stake in the outcome, the willingness to give honest friction, and availability while the thinking is actually happening. Those four almost never coexist in a person, because whoever holds your full context also holds a stake in it.
And every advisor has a stake. The coach protects the relationship, the consultant protects the scope, the attorney protects against liability. None are bad actors, but the advice drifts, gently and consistently, toward what protects them. Advice with no stake does not have to protect anything. It can just be accurate.
The Consigliere is a method for building that partner: an AI calibrated to your patterns, your constraints, and your blind spots, with nothing riding on what you decide. The core version is free to download. A small set of companion protocols extends it into an ongoing practice.
The anchor. The executive AI thinking-partner reference that precedes every companion.

Ground rules for AI in an executive practice: what it can and cannot do, and where the human owns the output.
A pre-decision protocol for using AI to pressure-test a call, not to make it.
A maintenance cadence for auditing your AI practice and correcting drift over time.
Building a defensible stance with AI: synthesis, not generation. For board presentations, public statements, and investor communications.
