Privacy
This site does not track you across the web.
No cookies, no tracking pixels and no advertising. One cookie-free counter, named below, is the only thing on any page that reports anything back. The host also keeps standard request logs, including IP address and browser, described below.
Who runs this site. Fellowship Intelligence LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, operates this site and is responsible for the information described on this page. Thomas Tornatore runs it for the company, and “I” and “me” on this page mean him acting for Fellowship Intelligence LLC.
The short version. Nothing you type on this site is sent to me or to anyone else, though the worksheets do remember your figures on your own device. One script, added by my host, counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. Apart from the host's standard request logs, that is all.
If you email me, book a call, or subscribe to the newsletter, you are handing information to me or to a named third party, and this page says exactly which and what happens to it.
What this site does
Every page is static. There is no database, no login, no server that receives anything you type, and no comment system. A few pages run a small script of their own: the live wallpaper preview, and the worksheets. None of them sends anything anywhere. The booking links are plain redirects that hand you straight to the booking provider. Every page also carries one analytics script, added by my host, which is the next item below.
- No cookies, and no tracking storage. There is no cookie banner to dismiss. The worksheets on this site are the exception, and what they keep stays on your own device: each one saves the figures you type into your browser's local storage, so they are still there if you come back. The Pricing Equation is one. None of it is transmitted and I cannot see it. Each worksheet carries a Start over button that removes what it saved, and clearing your browser data clears it too.
- One analytics script, and this is exactly what it is. Every page loads Cloudflare Web Analytics from static.cloudflareinsights.com. It sets no cookie, keeps nothing on your device, does not identify you, and does not follow you to any other site. What comes back to me is aggregate: how many times a page was loaded, what page sent you here, and rough browser and country information. Apart from the host's standard request logs described below, that is the whole of what I can see. It is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy, any content blocker will stop it, and the site works identically if you block it.
- No advertising, and no cross-site tracking. Nothing here follows you to another site or builds a profile of you.
- No embedded content. Videos and other sites are linked, not embedded. The analytics script above is the only file any page loads from outside this domain.
- Nothing is sold or shared. Nothing from this site goes to an advertiser, a data broker, or anyone else.
What the host records
This site is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, it records standard request information, including IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. That happens at the infrastructure level, it is used to serve the site and to protect it from attack, and I do not build profiles from it or connect it to anything else.
When you contact me
Email. Writing to thomas@thomastornatore.com means I hold your message and address in Google Workspace, in a business account used for this site. Writing to contact@thewrongdefault.com, the address for press, interviews, speaking, and book rights, means the same thing in Microsoft 365, in the business account used for Wrong Default Media, the publishing arm of Fellowship Intelligence. Both are business accounts under a data processing agreement with the provider. I keep correspondence for as long as it is useful and delete it on request.
Booking a call. Every booking link on this site goes to Microsoft Bookings, under Microsoft's privacy statement. The details you enter go to Microsoft and then into my calendar, in a Microsoft 365 business account under a data processing agreement with the provider. Typically your name, email address, and anything you choose to write in the notes.
The newsletter. The Wrong Default is published on Substack. Subscribing happens on their platform under their policy, not here, and I do not import that list into anything else.
Client and engagement information
If you engage me for advisory work, the material you share is covered by the engagement letter and by any confidentiality agreement between us, not by this page. In outline: client material is held in Microsoft 365, in Fellowship Intelligence LLC’s own tenant, and is handled only by the companies listed below. None of them trains on it. It is deleted on request, and it is deleted within the period set in the engagement letter unless you ask me in writing to keep it.
Who handles your information
These are the only companies that receive information about you because of this site or my work, and what each one receives. Each is a business account in the name of Fellowship Intelligence LLC, under the provider’s data processing terms where it offers them. None of them may sell your information, and neither AI tool trains on what I put into it.
If you visit the site
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and counts page views. It receives your IP address, browser, the pages you request and the time. Page counts come back to me only in aggregate, with no cookies.
If you write to me, book a call or subscribe
- Google Workspace holds email sent to thomas@thomastornatore.com: your messages and email address.
- Microsoft 365 holds email sent to contact@thewrongdefault.com, and runs the booking pages through Microsoft Bookings: your messages, name, email address and anything you write in the booking notes.
- Substack runs The Wrong Default newsletter. If you subscribe, you do it on Substack under its own policy, and the list stays there.
If you are a client
- Microsoft 365 for email, file storage, video calls and signing the engagement letter. It holds engagement material, correspondence and the signed letter. Calls are not recorded.
- Google Workspace for email you send to thomas@thomastornatore.com.
- Stripe for invoices and payments. It receives your name, email, billing details and payment. I never see full card or bank account numbers.
- Xero for bookkeeping. It receives your name, billing contact details and the invoices and payments recorded for your engagement, and none of your engagement material.
- Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (ChatGPT and Codex), on business plans, as AI assistants in preparing your documents. They receive only the material I choose to work on with them, and neither trains on it.
- WhatsApp and Discord for quick messages and calls, only if you choose to use them. They receive your messages and your number or username, and WhatsApp chats are backed up to Google Drive. Documents and confidential material go by email only.
A new company is added to this list before it receives anything, and the date at the bottom of this page changes when it is.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Ask, and I will answer. Because nothing on this site identifies you apart from the host's standard request logs, in most cases the honest answer will be that I hold nothing beyond an email exchange you started or a call you booked.
I do not sell personal information. There is no opt-out to configure because there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children. Still in Charge, the schools initiative, holds no student data at all.
Changes
If this ever stops being accurate, because I add a form, or a new provider, or anything else, this page changes first and the date below changes with it.
