Short, and about the website only. Paid work is governed by a separate engagement letter, not by this page.
The short version. Read anything here. Link to anything here. Quote it with attribution.
Nothing on this site is professional advice, and reading it does not make you a client. If we work together, a signed engagement letter governs that work and overrides anything on this page.
Using the site
You may read, link to, print and share these pages. You may quote from them with attribution to Thomas Tornatore and a link to the source page.
Please do not republish whole pages as your own, present the writing as if someone else wrote it, use the material to train a model without asking, or use the name, mark or likeness to imply an endorsement, partnership or affiliation that does not exist.
Press and media are covered separately and more generously by the press kit, which states what may be used and how. Where the press kit and this page differ, the press kit governs press use.
What the content is not
It is not advice. Nothing here is legal, tax, accounting, insurance, investment, medical or other professional advice, and none of it is given in a professional capacity to you.
It does not create a relationship. Reading these pages, emailing me, or booking an introductory conversation does not make you a client and does not create an advisory, fiduciary or confidential relationship. That begins when a written engagement is signed and payment has cleared, and not before.
Do not send confidential material before there is an agreement in place. An unsolicited email is not protected by anything, and I cannot treat it as if it were.
Accuracy, and things that change
The content is written carefully and offered without warranty of any kind. Some of it describes work that is unfinished: books that are forthcoming, a product in testing, an organisation whose formation is in progress. Those statuses are stated where they apply and they change over time.
Fees shown on this site are current as of the date below and may change. A fee is fixed for a given engagement when the engagement letter is signed.
Links to other places
This site links to other sites, including my own ventures and third-party platforms. I do not control any of them, I am not responsible for their content or their handling of your information, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end.
Paid engagements
Advisory work, including The Practice Charter, is governed by a separate written engagement letter covering scope, fees, confidentiality, ownership, liability and termination. Where that letter and this page conflict, the letter governs for that engagement.
Ownership
The writing, the frameworks, the mark and the design of this site belong to Thomas Tornatore, except where something is credited to someone else. Names of ventures and third parties belong to their owners.
Liability
This site is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss arising from use of it or reliance on its contents, including indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit or lost opportunity. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
These terms may change. The current version is always the one at this address, with the date below.
